Eccleston named to top spot at Pivot

Pivot Solutions Inc. said today that Lou Eccleston took over as chairman and chief executive yesterday, succeeding company founder Furqan Nazeeri.

Pivot Solutions of Boston is a communications network for institutional investors; its flagship product is IMTRADER network and platform.

Most recently, Eccleston served as president of global sales, marketing, and services for Thomson Financial, Pivot Solutions said.

"The adoption of instant messaging technology continues increasing as both sell- and buy-side firms recognize its role in accelerating communication, collaboration, information management, research, and trading," Eccleston said in a statement.

"Pivot Solutions will continue building a reliable, compliant, and scalable platform that allows for strong growth and provides superior customer service to capitalize on further market expansion."
