Management Team


John H. Eley, Chief Executive Officer
John is responsible for the overall management, operation, and strategic direction of the company. A 20-year veteran of the financial services and financial technology industries, John recently has focused on companies that improve market structure or trading efficiency in a variety of asset classes. Beginning in 2002, he served as President and CEO of Hotspot FX, Inc., the leading online foreign exchange marketplace. The company was acquired by Knight Capital Group in 2006. Previously, John was the CFO of OnExchange, a futures industry software provider, and worked in a variety of senior positions with Cantor Fitzgerald/eSpeed and Citibank. John serves as an outside board member and/or advisor to several private companies and is a guest lecturer at the Columbia University School of Business.

Edward Daciuk, Managing Director Strategy and Product Development
Ed ensures that Pivot delivers on its vision of increased trading performance for customers through its global information management network. Principally, Ed directs corporate strategy, product development, marketing, and business development. A veteran of building fast growth, successful technology ventures, Ed previously served as COO and CFO in Bertelsmann's online division. Additionally, Ed was vice president of interactive services at Trendline Communications, a leading provider of business marketing services. Ed began his career as a corporate finance consultant at Stern Stewart then as director of investment banking at the Financial Resources Group. Ed has a bachelor's degree in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Jacklyn Karceski, Managing Director Finance and Operations
Ms. Karceski brings over 20 years of financial experience to Pivot having most recently served as vice president finance and secretary of Application Security, Inc., a New York-based international security software company where she established financial planning, budgeting and accounting operations for the venture-backed firm. Previously she served as CFO & vice president, finance, operations and corporate strategy for New York City-based Tutor.com, a leader in on-line tutoring, and CFO & vice president, finance and operations and member of the board of directors of inshop.com, an online informational provider of retailer sales and promotional events. Ms. Karceski also served as director of financial planning and analysis and sales operations for PointCast, Inc., a California-based provider of current news and information services to viewers and corporations via the Internet and corporate intranets.

David Levine, Managing Director Engineering
David Levine is responsible for defining and driving the technical vision for the Pivot network, including product development, release management and technical support groups. David has 17 years of IT and leadership experience in financial services working with such firms as Putnam Investments, Wellington Management, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and Nasdaq. As a recognized authority in FIX and object-oriented technology, David leads Pivot, Inc.'s product innovation, managing the ongoing integration of instant messaging, information management, research and trading technology. His efforts continue to provide a powerful productivity and customer service tool for institutional investment professionals. David earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Rochester and a master's degree in systems engineering from Boston University.

Ed McDonnell, Managing Director Sales and Service
Ed McDonnell drives the rapid adoption of Pivot within the financial services industry. As a recognized leader in unified communications within capital markets, he is responsible for further positioning Pivot 360 as the preferred network for communication and collaboration for institutional investors and their supporting firms, customers and partners. In Ed's 10 years at Thomson Financial, he served as a regional managing director of Sales, managing three regional U.S. sales teams. As a member of Thomson Financial's management team, he established effective practices including sales structure, sales training, territorial alignment and account coverage. Prior to Thomson Financial, his experience included sales at both Prudential Securities and First Investors Corp. Ed has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Rhode Island.
